HOW EFFICIENT IS YOUR FURNACE? If it was manufactured before 1992, chances are it operates at an efficiency rating of 65% or less. An Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) rating of 65% means a furnace only generates about 65¢ worth of heat for every dollar's worth of fuel. Since 1992, federal regulation has required that all furnaces operate at an AFUE of at least 78%.

RUUD Achiever High-Efficiency Oil Furnaces exceed these requirements with AFUE ratings above 80%, so replacing your exisiting oil furnace with a high-efficiency RUUD model can help you reduce heating costs considerably.

RUUD'S LEGENDARY RELIABILITY. Stainless steel primary and secondary heat exchangers are built right into every RUUD Achiever Oil Furnace. These heat exchangers distribute heating comfort evenly throughout your home. RUUD Achiever Oil Furnaces are so reliable, they carry a limited lifetime warranty.

FLEXIBLE CAPACITIES. Available heating capacities of between 56,000 and 150,000 BTUH ensure suitability for most applications. And with configurations that include upflow and downflow/horizontal models, there's sure to be a model to suit your installation requirement.

1. COMBUSTION CHAMBER The Aluminia Silica Combustion Chamber surrounds the burner flame and sits suspended within the primary heat exchanger. It evenly distributes heat to the heat exchanger, eliminating "hot spots." The result is greater reliability and improved efficiency.
2. PRIMARY HEAT EXCHANGER So reliable and durable that it's backed by a limited lifetime warranty, the primary heat exchanger is constructed of 409 stainless steel. This provides strength and resists rust and corrosion.
3. OIL BURNER This specially designed high-efficiency oil burner provides the perfect mix of oil and air for the highest and most efficient level of heat from the fuel.
4. EASY-ACCESS FILTER The RUUD Achiever High-Efficiency Oil Furnace features a permanent filter. Just remove this easy-to-access filter and clean it periodically to ensure the furnace operates at optimum efficiency.
5. SECONDARY HEAT EXCHANGER The secondary heat exchanger helps the RUUD Achiever High-Efficiency Oil Furnace achieve its high-efficiency rating. After the heat passes through the primary heat exchanger, but before it is vented to the outside, this secondary heat exchanger goes to work to extract as much heat as possible. A removable flue box allows for easy cleaning as needed. This secondary heat exchanger is also backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
6. BLOWER Even the blower contributes to the efficiency of the RUUD Achiever High-Efficiency Oil Furnace. Its multi-speed, capacitor-type motor uses less electricity than other comparable models. And it provides the various speeds needed for most central air conditioning products. "Heating only" models are also available.
